Another City Center Store Planned for UK

March 31, 2011

As part of its on-going plan to occupy every High Street in the UK, Apple will open a retail store on the upper level of Festival Place in the town of Basingstoke by year’s end. Job listings were posted last week, and construction is now underway in spaces 65-66 between Gap and French Connection. The city of 82,000 is 50 miles southwest of London, and besides shops and restaurants, the sprawling mall includes a bus station, rooftop parking garage, cinema and nightclub.

Hey Eric, Basingstoke serves an area much bigger than 150,000. It is a commuter city to London and there are several other cities close by (Winchester, Farnborough). I am from London, Ontario too.
