Wisconsin Store Re-Opens After Renovation

February 28, 2011

The Mayfair (Wisc.) retail store will re-open on Monday morning after one week of remodeling, part of an on-going project to freshen up the look of older stores. So far, about 100 stores have been remodeled to emphasis glass and steel, Apple has said. The Mayfair store was the 37th store to open in the chain and originally featured all the original features: a black panel storefront with back-lit Apple logo, wood floors, white Corian display fixtures and frosted glass partitions between product areas. In August 2009 the store closed briefly to update the storefront to the current all-glass and stainless steel version. However, that remodel retained the wood floors and glass partitions of the original design. Presumably this latest remodel includes new stone flooring and stainless steel accents inside the store, and removal of the glass partitions.
