China Stores Celebrate New Year With Events

January 11, 2011

Once again there will be special New Years events, contests and highlighted products at the Apple retail store in China, except this year there will be four stores and not just one as in 2010. The company has e-mailed customers in China announcing the annual promotion, featuring a deep red motif and Chinese characters in a diamond formation. The events include greeting card creation workshops, youth workshops, family video creation sessions and One to One training sessions. The on-line Apple store highlights third-party products, but there is no special pricing. The in-store celebration starts with a special shopping event this Friday, and events are on various dates from January 26th to February 13th. Last year the Sanlitun (Beijing) store was the only Apple store in China. Since then, a second store has opened in Beijing and two in Shanghai. Update: Chinese New Year is also being celebrated via Apple’s on-line store in Singapore and Malaysia.

This deep-red motif e-mail was sent to China Apple customers to announce the New Year's shopping event.
