Curtain Pull-Back Scheduled for Paris Store

June 28, 2010

One of Apple’s most spectacular retail stores will hold its grand opening this Saturday at 10 a.m., along Rue Halévy in the Opéra district of Paris. It will be the second store in Paris, and its historic grandeur will be rivaled only by the Regent Street and future Covent Garden (London) stores. The new store features a 115-foot wide storefront that’s been carefully restored—huge wooden doors, arched windows and ornate wrought-iron balcony railings. Inside, the store will have a two staircases to a mezzanine level, a spiral staircase to the basement, a multi-paneled skylight, all surrounded by features of the original building that have been restored and brightened. The opening day coincides with the start of the Tour de France bicycle race in Rotterdam (the Netherlands), and which will attract thousands of spectators to the finish line in Paris on July 25th. Apple Store Opera, Paris on the 25th of June

We couldnt see in because our view was blocked. We asked the guys when will the store be opened and they told us “Soon, but we can’t say when because it’s a secret”. The workers spoke German!

If only this had happened a year ago, I’d be so happy because I would be able to attend to the Apple Store
