First International Remodel Underway

July 20, 2009

In the midst of “remodel season,” the very first renovation of an international store has closed the Bluewater (UK) store for 10 days. The location closed after hours on Sunday, and will re-open on July 31st. A warning sign appeared before the store closed, saying, “We’re making this store better than ever for our favourite guests—you.” The sign suggested that customers visit the Lakeside store, about 15 minutes away. The Bluewater store opened in July 2005 as the 111th store in the chain, and still features glass partitions.A small sign appeared on the Bluewater storefront warning of the impending closure, and then the black covering appeared after the store closed.

The small warning sign…

I think the first international store reno was at eaton centre in Toronto. Unless Canada doesn’t count as international.
