The future Munich (Germany) Apple store is at least six months from a grand opening, according to construction experts who viewed site photos posted on the Germany-based MacGazette Web site. The store at 1 Rosenstrasse in city center is now only a partially-finished basement, carved into a row of three-story buildings. Photos show a tall construction crane just off the tourist destination Marienplatz, lifting materials over a construction barricade and into the huge site. Presumably the next steps would be erecting the interior structure of the building and putting up exterior walls. It’s not yet clear how much of the building Apple will occupy beyond the ground floor, although it is known that Sport Schuster will have offices on the upper floors, the story notes. The store will be the first in the country and only the second in continental Europe.
