New Store Fills In North Carolina

November 8, 2007

The future store at the Friendly Center in Greensboro will fill in Apple store coverage for residents of North Carolina. The location is part of a 75-acre shopping complex northwest of downtown, in a new section opened in 2006. There are existing stores in Raleigh, Durham and Charlotte, east and west of this future location. The store could open in mid-summer 2008.

Why is there no date here yet? It’s almost summer and we have nothing yet in Greensboro. CompUSA is closed and the closest store is Durham.

We want our Apple store so we can see the new 3G iPhone.

All the July 31 postings are links to a picture of the Williams-Sonoma construction. The Apple store is going up right beside it, with an Anthropologie to the right. (Ged confirms this at the following link: On November 10 or so, I saw workers putting up an aluminum frame, which is now covered in classic black. Pictures coming soon.

From the horse’s mouth…

Thank you for your inquiry. Apple is scheduled to open February 21 pending
no last minute construction or permit delays. Their store will be located
between Williams-Sonoma and Anthropologie in Friendly Center near the BB&T
