Finding no appropriate space at its original choice of the Haywood Mall in Greenville (SC), Apple has now selected the Magnolia Park Town Center for its first retail store in the state. Menin Development Companies Inc. purchased the property earlier this year after the former mall had been demolished on the site along I-85 southeast of downtown. Awesome! I go to Clemson University. Finally a store closer than A-Town!! Any word on the timeframe?
That’s a great location, it’s across the street from where I work. It also happens to be the hottest location in the city.
Interesting posts… iPlace, an Authorized Apple Reseller and Service Provider has been operating a retail store in the prestigious Thornblade area of Greenville for over a year now. iPlace specializes in unprecedented customer service and sales excellence.
Not true, Rodney. There’s another Mac shop in Greenville called iPlace. It’s on Batesville Road in the Thornblade Commons.
Ross, Apple plans to open the store at Magnolia Park Town Center in fall of 2008.
WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH THE CHARLESTON STORE, APPLE??????
Great news for me! I was just reading about Comp USA closing its doors soon, so hearing about this upcoming Apple Store has really lifted my spirits. Didn’t know about iPlace before today though lol. But it’s still great to know that Apple’s opening a store here in GREENVILLE, SC!!!
What took them so long? Lol
I heard over the weekend from a Best Buy sales person that Apple is putting an Apple Shop inside the Greenville BB sometime in May of this year…. I’ve been to one of the BB Apple shops - they are really cool & is just like walking into an Apple retail store…. it’s about time Apple is coming back to Greenville - I always enjoyed hanging out at the Apple shop at CompUSA….
Jerry, I heard the same thing. Since city developers are slowing around with finding a good spot for the store, it’s only right that Best Buy gets a mini apple store until the Magnolia Park store or the downtown (West End) store opens.
