The Demonoid.com Web site has posted software that implements the four desktop buttons you see on the screen of Apple retail store computers. It’s downloadable via BitTorrent and, with a little configuration, it will correctly display the Concierge screen of your local store. The program’s code indicates it was lifted from a computer at the Legacy Village (Ohio) store (oops!). Comments on the site indicate that the download works for some, but not others. They also point to the commercial application Docktop that offers identical capabilities. Update: The original file was removed from the Web site, but popped up again later.

You’ll need the torrent of the zipped file… not the initial one that isn’t zipped. (Read a bit down into the page to get the working — i.e., SECOND — torrent.) Then you’ll need to know your local Apple Store code. Check this pdf file for that:
