An AppleInsider news item says Apple has updated its guidelines for employees talking about resellers and third-party products, stemming from reseller complaints that some Apple sales and marketing folks were caught bad-mouthing non-Apple sales channels. The guidelines apply to the retail store staffs, who I have personally heard mentioning (positively) other sources of Apple products, including memory upgrades, DVD drive add-ons and accessories at Comp-USA and smaller resellers.
